After telling my roommate about this, he suggested that I look up my phone number on Google. A few seconds later I found this:

Block it on your phone. I haven't had this message but other annoying ones. Use the block feature to disable the number sending the text. Easy and done.
The problem with that approach is that I've gotten texts/calls from over a dozen numbers.
My brother-in-law's number was mistaken (by many, many giggling teenaged fans) for that of David Archuleta. He eventually had to change his number...
